Sam Chivers is a Sussex based artist and illustrator who works primarily in screen-printing, collage and occasionally painting.
A master CMYK screen printer, Sam is drawn towards a sort of pop surrealism, fusing graphical and figurative elements. Landscapes and objects both natural and man-made to create a kind of symbolism that is never immediately clear.
Strands of narrative are suggested but overall scenes are often open ended and ambiguous.
Sam Chivers currently lives in rural East Sussex with his wife Lauren and their cat.
