Lucas Price

Lucas Price, aka Cyclops, along with his painting partner Sweet Toof, was one of the UK’s most prolific street artists.

Walk down any street in East London in the last few years and the chances are you would come across one of the pairs street paintings featuring their distinctive giant teeth. More recently Lucas took a step away from graffiti and street art, undertaking an MFA in Painting at the Royal College of Art.

His early gallery paintings demonstrated raw talent and had a sense of urgency about them. Both angry and intimate, as if he has purged his mind in the process of applying paint to canvas. Often heavily layered and incorporating words or phrases, they were both honest and fresh. His MFA has seen him hone his painting ability and from what we've seen, he's now taking things to another level.
