Australian-born Anthony Lister now lives and paints in Brooklyn, New York.

After graduating from the Queensland College of Art in 2001, Anthony Lister moved to New York and worked under the mentorship of New Zealand painter Max Gimblett. He recently undertook a research residency in Berlin, has taken part in solo and group exhibitions around the world and has seen his work featured on Juxtapoz and FecalFace.

Often dealing with subject matter from society and popular culture, Antony Lister is influenced by the media, expressionism, pop art, his family and his experiences in the world of graffiti, often drawing references from cartoons and comics.
