Brighton based Tim Fawcett uses a variety of graphic techniques including collage, stencil, mixed media, digital and painting as he seeks to create emotionally charged and challenging work.

When he�s not scribbling ideas on paper Tim can be found playing with found images in Photoshop, visually stripping away detail from photos to reveal something new and thought provoking - maybe an uncomfortable looking pose in a photo, a facial expression, colour discord or simply an instinctive reaction. Tim then aims to respond directly by working quickly and as loosely as possible on canvas, building layers and moving paint around. Removing areas of paint is equally as important to Tim�s process, thus enabling him to engage fully with the canvas as an object.

Through progressively working through the painting process, Tim�s work has developed and intensified, taking on a more spontaneous and visceral edge which is honest, expressive and personal.
